Thankful Thursday
Dear Friends,
I almost decided not to post today for Thankful Thursday. Then I thought ... Why would I consider not posting as I have so much to be thankful for! I felt I had not been thinking clearly - like brain fog - so I had been taking additional quiet time which of course is a good thing - we all need more quiet time with God. But you know what I realized? It isn't brain fog I was experiencing. It was the enemy trying to steal my joy. We've all been there! The enemy doesn't want me, you, or anyone in this world to be thankful today or any other day. So today, let me just make this statement: The evil one doesn't win this time. PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS!
I'M THANKFUL FOR
* The fact that the enemy WILL NOT steal my joy today!
* Every blog I've read this week which encouraged and lifted my spirits.
* God speaking to me through His word this week.
* More prayer and quiet time.
* A loving family and a husband who is so dear.
* For caring friends who email, send e-cards, or leave encouraging comments.
* Finding a Christian blogging community. While reading many blogs - I have been blessed time and time again! I praise God for helping me find each of you.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it. Hebrews 4:16

Dear Bonnie,
I am so glad you are not letting the evil one steal your joy either. You are to precious and the daughter of the King he has no power over you, as you know. What a beautiful post! Thank you so much for sharing. You are a wonderful wife, grandmother, friend, blogger, sister in Christ and your light shines.
In his endless love,

Wonderful list! Thank you for sharing it!
What a wonderful thankful list! I'm glad you didn't let the enemy steal your joy, either.
Have a blessed weekend!
You are right...He likes to steal our joy. I sometimes am so burned our, but when I write about our Lord, or even my random thankfulness notes, He gives me the strength to continue with what I am doing--and He always puts a song of praise in my head--every.single.day.
I am so glad that you shared your thankfulness with us this week--God is faithful in all He does.
Blessings to you and yours.
Well said! Thanks for the reminder to keep our thoughts on the postive blessings we have! Have a wonderful Thursday!
You are so right. Good for you that you "pressed on towards the prize and didn't let Satan win! I can relate. Our church is beginning a Faith Journey Devotional and here is a quote on the first page:
Warning!
Anitcipate the enemy will make it difficult to accomplish this goal. Don't let him surprise you. Anticipate his attacks through prayer. Prayer is the weapon Satan can do nothing against!
This is what you did! Thank you so much for sharing.

Do not gloat over me my enemy,
Though I have fallen, I will rise;
Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will bring light. Micah 7:8
I've experienced that--maybe even today!
There's much to be thankful for.
Blessings!
Im so thankful that you visited my blog and I pray that God keeps reminding you of Himself and together you defeat the enemy.

That's wonderful that pushed through the "fog" and praised Him anyway through your thankfulness!
