San Diego Trip for Nephew - Prayers Please

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY

We have answer to prayers!!!
Eric does not have bone cancer!
This means that his cancer remains at Stage 3 Large Cell Lymphoma. If he had been found to have cancer in his bones, it would have been Stage 4 cancer, but since it is NOT in his bones, it is stage 3. Glory to God! Thank you to everyone who prayed!

Eric had his first chemotherapy treatment yesterday. His energy is really drained and he is nauseous. The doctors are working to get his military orders transferred to San Antonio, Texas for two reasons. One being his mom and brother live there, and the second is that there is a military base there where Eric can take the rest of his chemotherapy treatments while being with his family. The doctors feel this is very important for Eric to be with family during chemotherapy treatment so they are working very hard to get his orders transferred as quickly as possible. We would ask that you not only pray for Eric's health as he is so sick at this time, but also for his military orders - that the doctors are able to get them finalized to San Antonio, Texas. They want to fly him to San Antonio quickly before the next chemotherapy treatment time so that he can get settled into my sisters home.

I may be going home in a few days, but my sister will stay here until Eric leaves which we believe will be very soon. Please continue praying for Eric's cancer, the treatments, and the depression he has that has set in; as well as the military orders to get fixed smoothly and correctly which will help Eric if he can get home to San Antonio and be able to stay with his mother and brother. Blessings to all!

San Diego Trip for Nephew - Prayers Please

Cast all your anxiety upon Him because
He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Hello dear bloggy friends! I'm in San Diego spending time with my sister and her son, Eric, who is of course, my nephew. I'm asking please for your continued prayers for him who I mentioned in the previous post is 22 years old. He's changed so much losing about 20 or more pounds already, is very weak, and is in an intolerable amount of pain curling up in a fetal position. After doing a PET Scan, the doctors told us he not only has lymphoma cancer in the groin area but also in his abdomen as well as all the way up his abdomen to his chest and below his throat. He has never been a smoker! The doctor stated Eric is in Stage 3 cancer and the name of it is Aplastic large cell lymphoma.

We were so thankful to be able to attend church service yesterday on the Naval base. Eric, my sister, and I attended and it was so good to be together at church.

A bone marrow biopsy was done to see if Eric has cancer in his bones. The doctor stated if Eric has cancer in his bones, he would then be considered to have Stage 4 Cancer. We are waiting on those test results. Please pray for Eric as he is in alot of pain, and please pray for my sister, Sunny, too.

I'm blogging from the hospital library. I'm so thankful they have computer access for us to use. As soon as I know more, I'll be back with more info so please keep watch for more posts and please keep each of us in your prayers, especially Eric. Thank you all for caring!

Prayers Needed Please

prayer

PRAYER REQUESTS PLEASE

First Prayer My nephew, Eric is in the military and is 22 years old and single. He had been losing weight for two or three months and had two enlarged areas on his groin. The medics where he was stationed were treating the symptoms by draining the lumps and giving him antibiotics instead of attempting to find out the cause. This past Monday the medics finally brought Eric back and admitted him to a large hospital where he has now had surgery to remove the lumps and has been given a preliminary diagnosis of lymphoma cancer. They have also found two more lumps which are larger than the two they removed which will likely require another surgery. We are awaiting a firm diagnosis from the doctors, however in the meantime, my sister and I are both making travel plans to fly there to be with him immediately. Please pray for my nephew and my sister, as well as me as I support and minister to both of them. My prayer is that the diagnosis is wrong and that my nephew is fully healed in Jesus name. Thank you for your prayers.

Second Prayer There is a young couple, Alyson and Justin, who lost both their jobs and their apartment at the same time. They are around 25 years old and are Christians and were living in their car when they came into the Crisis Center about three weeks ago. There was no way for them to apply for jobs because their clothing was dirty and they had no way to take baths. The crisis center, through donations, managed to place them in a motel with kitchen while they searched for jobs. They both are actively looking from morning till night for work as they check in with personnel from the crisis center almost daily. The good news is Alyson found a job and she is so very excited! Today was her second day at work. Justin has two good leads and one of them he believes is going to hire him. I would like to ask that you keep Alyson and Justin in your prayers. The Director of the Crisis Center has told them after they both obtain work, he will help them get into an apartment which will be far cheaper than paying motel rent. They are trying so very hard and we all just want to see them accomplish their dream of having a place of their own. I know... I know... I'm not suppose to get emotionally attached with people where I volunteer, but it seems I already have with this couple. And ... with my husband being the Director of the Crisis Center, I have someone to continuously tell me to be careful or I'll become too attached. Yes, he knows me. smiles! Please keep Alyson and Justin in your prayers that Justin will also get a good job very soon; that their car will continue working for them driving so far; and that they will soon be in their very own apartment. Thank you for listening and for your prayers.

More updates are coming soon on Eric
as well as Alyson and Justin!

Many Blessings

Wordless Wednesday - Please Pray for Me

Hello friends, I realize this is Wordless Wednesday, but I have a need today.

I'm asking for prayers please. I found out this morning I will be having surgery Wednesday morning, May 9, 2007 about 7:00 AM. I have no choice; surgeon states it is an emergency. I'm unsure presently how long I'll be in-patient; I'm praying to be home within a day or two, but it depends on many things.

I would greatly appreciate prayers for the next few days, but especially Wednesday morning as I go into surgery. I've prayed with my husband and pastor and I'm at peace with the decision for surgery; and have great faith things will work out exactly as God wills. Thank you for your prayers.

My husband will email Denise at Shortybear's Place blog to let her know how my surgery went, and she can possibly place an update on her blog if you are interested, or email her for an update, whichever works best for Denise.

I look forward to catching up with comments and how everyone is doing when I'm able to return to the computer again. I'll miss each of you this week. God bless you always as you have blessed me.
Love and hugs,
Gma
